Commemorating the 375th anniversary of British Scientist Sir Isaac Newton who was born on Christmas Day in 1642. As well as being a world famous physicist and mathematician, Newton was also appointed Master of the Royal Mint in 1699 and introduced measures to prevent counterfeiting and forgery.
