Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the bi-metallic £2 coin, released in 1997.
 
Despite being released after the death of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022 this coin does feature her portrait on the obverse. The Royal Mint selected the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait as this was the one used on the first circulated £2 coins in 1998. 
 
The original Bruce Rushin 'techonology' design used on £2 coins between 1997-2015 returns for this anniversary edition.
